B.Tech - Food Technology

The Food Technology is the eminent sun rising trade due to its massive impact and implication in the worldwide progress. The study of food technology is to develop new methods and systems for keeping food products safe and resistant from natural harms such as bacteria and other micro-organisms. The importance of food processing and quality control lies in the fact that it has the capability to provide sustained food to our population through the scientific conservations and making obtainable more balanced nutritious food to the society. As a consequence, the food industries need the major employers in this sector and to meet the technological requirements of the farmers and entrepreneurs for nourishing the significant food to the public. The major objective of this department is to afford adequate knowledge to our students in the field of providing sufficient quantity of quality food at affordable prices to every Indian citizen. We aims to develop food technology research and education far beyond the predictable realm, by covering upstream food technology disciplines and providing exposure to the students in cutting edge areas of applications. As a result food technology graduates possess an immense extent in food processing industries, research laboratories, hotels, soft drink factories, quality control, rice mills, manufacturing industries and distilleries.
